Supply chain transparency has emerged as one of the most critical challenges—and opportunities—facing the outdoor industry in 2026. Consumers, regulators, and investors are demanding unprecedented visibility into product origins, material sourcing, manufacturing conditions, and environmental impact. The era of opaque supply chains is ending, replaced by a new paradigm of radical transparency enabled by digital technologies. This implementation framework examines the technological foundations of supply chain transparency, the integration of blockchain, IoT, and Digital Product Passports, and the strategic imperative for outdoor brands to embrace this transformation.
The regulatory landscape is driving much of this change.
